About Us
ASC, Asian Satellite Communications, Inc., (formerly SBC-TV) offers programming for those who understand Hindi (national language of India). Although many of our programs and movies have English subtitles, our programming mainly appeals to the South Asian population (people from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal) and the Middle Eastern population (people from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Jordan and other Arab countries).

ASC Flix: 24-Hour South Asian (Hindi) Entertainment Channel
Available on Globe Cast World TV in USA & Canada – Subscription-based
Launched in 2001 as the first South Asian satellite channel on the Globe Cast World TV platform. Formerly called SBC-TV, ASC Flix is the premier South Asian entertainment source. ASC Flix covers everything dealing with the Indian film industry – Bollywood. From the latest movies, behind the scenes, making of new films, celebrity interviews, live concerts and other events – ASC Flix has it all. ASC Flix offers 3 movies daily with most having English subtitles. Since its launch, ASC Flix has built a subscriber-base of an estimated 65,000 that is continually growing rapidly. ASC Flix is available a la carte or in packages with other South Asian channels available on Globe Cast World TV. ASC Flix is available to thousands of residents of MDUs (multiple dwelling units – i.e. apartments and condominiums). ASC Flix is a subscription-based channel. New customers who do not own a Globe Cast satellite system can pay a one-time charge of $239.00, which includes the entire system (satellite dish, mounting, LNB, receiver, access smart card), shipping/handling and one-year of ASC Flix. There are no monthly charges or contracts for the first year and the customer owns the equipment. After the first year, the subscriber may continue to subscribe at a rate of $119.88 yearly - $9.99 per month for 12 months. Those who already have a satellite dish and a Free-to-Air (FTA) receiver will need to replace their receiver with a Globe Cast receiver/smart card since FTA receivers only receive free channels and not subscription channels. To order only a Globe Cast receiver, the current price is $159.00, which includes shipping/handling and one-year of ASC Flix. Globe Cast subscribers who already have the system at home for other international channels can subscribe to ASC Flix at $119.88 yearly - $9.99 per month for 12 months.

After the overwhelming success of ASC Flix, Globe Cast was honored to launch ASC Xtra – 24-hour South Asian (Hindi) Variety Channel throughout USA and Canada. ASC Xtra programming consists of dramas/serials, live news from India, community news across the U.S., game shows, talk shows, fashion shows, children programming, comedies and much more. ASC Xtra is a subscription-based channel.

Launched in January 2004, ASC Flix is available anywhere in the world – 24 hours a day via the Internet using Windows Media Player. Now people can watch the best entertainment programming from South Asia without purchasing a satellite system. ASC Flix is the first
and only South Asian channel available live on the Internet 24 hours a day. By launching ASC Flix on the Internet, we are now able to reach a whole new audience of subscribers all over the world, which has given us the opportunity to extend our brand across the global marketplace. ASC has exclusivity agreements with pvgfun.blogspot.com to be the only company able to provide Hindi (national language) programming. With a subscriber-base of 2,200, ASC Flix has become very popular to residents of high-rise buildings, townhouses, and condominiums who are unable to install satellite systems. ASC Local Chicago (Cable TV):
ASC-TV/SBC-TV has been providing South Asian programming in the Midwest for almost three decades. Over the years, ASC-TV/SBC-TV has maintained it’s firm-hold as the one and only South Asian TV program producer with the most hours of broadcast weekly, largest viewership and widest coverage area. Throughout the years, competing programs have come and gone and have failed to survive against us. We know the community, we know what viewers want, and this is our full-time business. On our local channel, viewers can watch the best entertainment programming from India in addition to local community news and news from India.
Broadcast every Saturday from 9AM to 10AM with a weekly Indian movie on late Saturday night (Sunday 12 AM) in Hindi language with English subtitles. Cable coverage includes all of Illinois on the Comcast Cable Network, which is the largest cable company in Illinois.
